Norwood Country Club is a public 18-hole golf course and lighted driving range, and is conveniently located on Route 1 behind the Chateau Restaurant and Hampton Inn close to Route 95. Designed by Sam Mitchell, built by Frank Simoni and opened in 1975. It has a par 71, 5630-yard layout, the course has a flat terrain with medium sized, well-manicured greens. Norwood CC is among the eleven golf courses operated, owned, or consulted for by Sterling Golf Management, Inc (SGM).
Applicants to this role MUST have relevant experience as part of a golf course grounds crew. 3 - 5 years preferred.
The Assistant Superintendent will play a role in management of the grounds crew alongside the Superintendent and the management company's Director of Maintenance. They will also play a major part in daily grounds maintenance tasks. As such, their responsibilities fall into two categories: supervisory and grounds maintenance. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise grounds crew members while accomplishing daily grounds maintenance tasks as directed by the Superintendent Assist with weekly scheduling and budget/expense tracking Help train & develop new hires Work with the NCC Superintendent and SGM Director of Maintenance to grow management, mechanical, spraying, and irrigation repair skills Grounds Maintenance Responsibilities: Maintain grounds and landscaping. Operate mowers, tractors, and other groundskeeping equipment. Perform general maintenance of the grounds, such as trimming trees and shrubs, raking leaves, and removing debris. Maintain records of work performed. Job description: The Portland Seadogs are actively seeking applicants for the position of assistant groundskeeper. The position is a full-time salaried position. All applicants should be able to work in a fast-paced professional environment. Applicants are expected to possess the necessary skills to carry out daily tasks while working both independently and with others on a professional baseball field, while representing the Portland Seadogs and Minor League Baseball to the highest standards. This position is ideal for someone with one to two years of turf management experience. Duties: All duties are not limited to but include the following. All aspects of daily infield skin maintenance. Mound, Plate, and infield Clay repairs. Mowing, aeration, top dressing, and edge maintenance. Assisting with tarp pulls. Warning Track maintenance. Daily equipment care and maintenance. Fertilization and pesticide applications. Ability to operate sports turf equipment in a safe manner. Must be able to work well with the head groundskeeper to execute all functions of the grounds department. Duties are not limited to but may also include outside events and concerts.

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are seeking a motivated and hard-working Director of Field Operations who will be responsible for the management, planning, and implementation of the maintenance and agronomic program for the Delta Dental Stadium. The outfield playing surface and warning track were recently renovated, which included the removal of old organic material and incorporated new USGA sand and Profile soil amendment for added nutrient and water holding capabilities. Tuckahoe gameday bluegrass was also installed along with new hunter irrigation heads.
