Qualifications
2–5 years of progressive golf course maintenance experience, ideally at an assistant level. Certificate or degree in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred. Strong leadership, organization, and staff-management abilities. Experience with irrigation systems, chemical/fertilizer applications, and equipment operation. Ability to build and implement SOPs and structured workflows. Rhode Island pesticide/structural pest control licensure or ability to obtain within 90 days. Commitment to quality conditioning, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and participate in daily golf course maintenance, ensuring top-tier playing conditions. Supervise and operate pumps, irrigation systems, drainage systems, and associated computer controls. Lead, schedule, train, and supervise grounds staff; resolve staffing and workflow needs. Complete office tasks including filing, recordkeeping, inventory management, and time record maintenance. Apply and oversee applications of fertilizers and chemicals; maintain proper documentation and compliance. Perform structural pest control and maintain a valid Structural Pest Control Applicator license; complete required continuing education. Operate and supervise heavy equipment (front-end loaders, backhoe, trencher) safely and efficiently. Monitor course conditions and recommend agronomic adjustments related to moisture, fertility, and pest pressure. Assist with irrigation repair, moisture management, and system updates. Coordinate with pro shop staff to ensure course readiness for daily play and tournaments, including in the Superintendent’s absence. Develop and maintain SOPs for all recurring maintenance tasks and operational processes. Support projects including drainage improvements, bunker work, and renovation initiatives. Promote a high-service, team-oriented culture; communicate effectively with staff, members, and community stakeholders. Maintain consistent on-site attendance per policy. Other duties as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits: $50,000-$70,000. Housing may be included in compensation.

Turner Hill is an 18 hole member owned club which opened in 2004 and designed by Hurzdan/Fry. In addition to golf, the club has 2 tennis courts, swimming pool, 2 paddles courts, indoor fitness, and a historic 45,000 square foot mansion which hosts a multitude of events throughout the year

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
• Ensuring the playability of the course at the highest standards. • Conducting some morning job assignments and meetings. • Foster a positive team environment focused on professional development and growth. • Conduct fertilizer and chemical applications. • Managing the irrigation system and water conservation initiatives. • Must have a working knowledge of mower operations, utility carts, tractor, spreaders, and small equipment. • Coordinate with the Equipment Manager with any equipment repairs needed. • Winter work consists of snow removal and equipment maintenance projects. • Must have or be able to obtain a Massachusetts pesticide applicator license within 60 days of hire.
Salary: $60,000-$70,000

Hopedale Country Club is a 9 hole semi private golf course with a practice area. Designed by architect Geoffrey Cornish in 1953. A brand new irrigation system is being installed with work beginning on November 11, 2025.
Experience Required:
2-3 years experience working golf course maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with superintendent on day to day basis to manage crew and maintain the course, range, and clubhouse area.
Special Skills:
Must be able to acquire pesticide license within 60 days of hire. Mechanical ability a bonus.
Compensation:
$50,000-$60,000, vacation and sick time, stipend for health insurance, golf privileges.
Education Requirements:
Degree or certificate from an accredited institution in turf management or willing to attain one.

Salem Country Club is an 18-hole private golf course founded in 1895, designed by Donald Ross. It has been the host of two United States Senior Opens, two United States Women’s Opens, United States Senior Amateur, and a United States Women’s Amateur. Salem Country Club is located 30 minutes north of Boston.
The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance and management of our championship-level course. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for a motivated individual who can help manage day-to-day operations and play a key part in the planning and execution of our upcoming 5 million dollar course wide irrigation project.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, train, and motivate the maintenance staff to ensure all daily tasks are completed to the club's high standards.
Agronomic Programs: Implement and oversee all fertility and plant protectant programs. Perform calibrations and applications as directed, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Turf Health: Scout for pests, diseases, and turf stress, and communicate findings and recommendations to the Superintendent. Perform hand-watering and other cultural practices to ensure optimal playing conditions.
Course Preparation: Assist with daily course setup for member play and tournaments, including tee and pin placements.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate and train others on a variety of golf course equipment, performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of chemical applications, task completion, and other maintenance activities.
Project Management: Support the Superintendent in the planning and execution of ongoing and future course improvement projects.
An Associate's, Bachelor's degree or Certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred
2-3 years of golf course maintenance experience.
Ability to obtain a Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator License within 90 days of hire. Valid Driver’s License
